Never made it to Melrose Park when I lived there. Lived as far north as Wrigley area....then downtown right in the middle of the loop (conveniently located 2 blocks from Jackson St OTB.) The only time I left that area was to go out to Arlington.
My only complaint about the food in Chicago was the Pizza......it is just plain horrible out there. Someone needs to explain to the makers of deep dish pizza that what they are creating is not called pizza...its called lasagna.
Best Pizza in Chicago....Cafe Luigi.....in Lincoln Park....why...because it's NY Style.
