and the slow-starting Bonecrusher, who got carried back to an impossible position, but then staged a tremendous rally when switched to the outside, passing horse after horse in the final furlong to finish fast in third, looking unlucky not to win.

That is how he needed to be ridden. The jockey need to drop anchor at the start and slowly but surely pass horses one by one as they were getting tired. He never seemed to keen on having a "1" next to his name, though.
I love thinking back to these old David Loder horses, he was a fantastic trainer (a complete ******* most of the time, but a good trainer when allowed to do it his own way).
Bonecrusher
Parasol
Dublin
Razkalla (a fav of mine but never reached the heights he was expected to)
Sabra D'argent (didn't he end up in America?)
Kheleyf (before he was ruined by Godolphin)
Queen Of Poland (another Godolphin casualty, I believe)
and......
the horse that could have been top class, instead Godolphin ruined him and then wanted him to be a lead horse when he was beating Gr1 winners up the gallops.....the one, the only...... BULL RUN
