I just fail to understand how they are aren't the same thing. I am not condoning either guy but it seems like one guys is getting killed while the other one is getting off the hook. And why is no one coming down on the real culprits, the college presidents, who are forcing these guys to leave a few weeks before the seasons are finished? Would it be so hard for the scum bags at the NCAA to pass a rule that you cant hire another teams head coach until after everyones season is over?

they're too busy regulating the kids not being able to transfer to another team. i mean, the NERVE of those kids wanting to move to another school after a change of heart.
look at mitch mustain, essentially lied to by the coach about how the team would be--he realizes he doesn't fit that scheme, and the coach got personal and vindictive, so he transfers and then has to sit a year.
then there's reggie herring. said he would remain at arkansas when nutt left to coach them for the bowl game. good ol houston wanted him to be his DC at old miss, but reggie said he had to wait til after the cotton bowl. so nutt hired someone else. the early bird gets the worm.
it's a shame that the colleges take it so hard when their coach leaves before the bowl, but they then turn around and start their own "you have to come NOW" witchhunt.
since kids can't be recruited except during a certain time period, or hire an agent, or declare for the draft, i think coaches should have to wait til post season as well to make a change.
