Simon was second, and he was closing on the winner all the time but the line came too soon for him. Simon will be a serious Grand National horse next year, I think.
Kingscliff isn't anywhere near the horse he used to be. He really doesn't like racing anymore.
Both L'ami and Monk had big weights on their backs. These two will always struggle in these handicaps.
Monk ran a huge race, if I'm honest I didn't fancy him to even hit the board. He always does his very best though.
If the race was another furlong further, I think Simon would have won and Monk second.
