kind of a similar story for me. started looking for free last yr, then got hooked. i am doing better with them but i am having a hard time justifying the costs. lets say you like to look at 3 tracks a day, thats $60 a day at just once a week thats over $3 grand a year and even by any chance you like to look maybe 3 times a week thats about $10g. like i said you'll do better but maybe not enough to justify the costs. i have been using beyers for so long, i used to figure the numbers myself well before they were in the paper (ah the good old days). so i have to compare it to $5-6 bucks a day for about 6 tracks. i do feel beyer #s are less effective for many reasons. i really am a bit confused about it and wonder if there are other strong figs out there that we can use as a handicapping guide which are more reasonable and just as good. just wondering out loud what you guys think?
