I don't contribute to this list very often (hardly ever, as a amatter of fact), but I also would LOVE to know why TVG almost virtually ignores breakdowns in its coverage of racing. I believe they owe it to concerned viewers to fill us in on the status of the jockeys and horses............. Pretending that nothing serious has happened to the animal is particularly troubling. Do they think that ignoring what has obviously happened will somehow fool the knowledgeable viewer that terrible accidents can and do happen and should not be minimized? It is a serious lapse IMO. I don't think they should replay such moments on and on ad infinitum (many times in slow motion) as some major networks do, but puh-LEEZE give us all the courtesy of respecting our intelligence and allowing us to make our own judgements about what has happened.

In addition, to go on cheerfully preparing for and/or handicapping the next race at whatever racetrack without breaking stride (forgive the awful pun here) borders on the obscene.
