I must say that the last two races by English Channel really changed my opinion of him. I always just thought he was a decent horse that was very overrated and never got it done on the big day. Then he showed incredible guts going up the rail in the Turf Classic and followed it up with a brilliant performance in the BC. He totally won me over with those two starts. He was helped by the very weak group of older turf horses this year. He is a good horse but this was a really soft year and BC turf in particular.
