I understand what you're saying, but isn't that a rather biased opinion? I mean, i love watching American football, but that usually means having to stay up until 1.30am to see the finish of a game.

It's all about marketing. NFL has boomed over here in the last 2-3 years, there is a strong market. They made sure they kept a record of people who bought tickets for this game and 7% of the crowd have come from America to watch it. Now on the face of it, 7% doesn't seem like a huge figure, but when you think of a flight of at least 6-7hours, that is some dedication.

It is a great thing for the sport overall.

Your points are all valid ones, but if they decided to take a top soccer game to America, i would support it all the way. It's great world wide marketing.

What would be great if a deal could be done with airlines, and provide cheap airfares for people with game tickets.

Man if Liverpool FC ever went to play a premiership game in America, i'm there.....!
