Just a note: DRF and Bloodhorse don't have the up-to-date facts that Steve got us straight from the Doc's mouth today regarding Teuf :-)
I'm wondering myself what's right Beth...

Marty McGee in DRF:

"Noted equine surgeon Dr. Larry Bramlage was scheduled to perform surgery at the Rood and Riddle clinic to repair fractured sesamoids in both front ankles Monday afternoon, Sanders said.

"This has been devastating for all of us," said Sanders. "Fortunately, Dr. Bramlage is giving him an 80 percent chance to recover and hopefully be able to go on to a stallion career."

Teuflesberg suffered what was described as a closed fracture of his left front sesamoid less than a quarter-mile into the six-furlong Phoenix Stakes on Saturday. Jockey Julien Leparoux pulled the colt up and was not injured. However, apparently while trying to keep weight off his injured leg, the colt also incurred a less serious fracture of his right front sesamoids, said Sanders, and surgery was scheduled for both joints.
"

This is pretty strange... Dr. Ruggles had been by the colt at 3:30pm; said he did NOT fracture the right front; and would be operated on later in the week...

Maybe something changed between 4:15-7:00, and Jamie Sanders gave McGee the latest. However, it doesn't appear from the piece that McGee spoke to Rood & Riddle as it's devoid of quotes from Bramlage or anyone else. Curious. If the matchup is Dr. Ruggles at Rood & Riddle v. Jamie Sanders, I'm inclined to go with the Vet. Will try this morning to get latest news.
