Couldn't agree more. It's a fantastic race, but very tricky with so many good horses in it. My heart says Tariq, but my head is telling me to leave the race alone.
Although Tariq's good form has come on a fast surface, he is by Kyllachy, who went on soft and if you cast your mind back to his debut, Tariq was a very impressive winner of a Newmarket maiden and the ground was very soft that day.
I don't think it will be proper French 'soft', if that makes sense. If the same racing surface was over here i think they would be calling it good to soft, soft in places.
