kev it was the putting and the family - he didn't really push his talent to the top - but those years in the mid 70's he had were unreal - that 63 at Oakmont could be the best round ever played in an open - if he had Nicklaus putt for him who know how many he would have won , but , putting is a big part of the game
As for Lee trevino - he was quoted as saying if Jack Nickluas had to play my tee shots he would still be a pharmicst back in ohio!!! man - i got to see him play in some senior events up at sleepl hollow and meadowbrook up here kev - he would talk to wedge and tell it what exactly to do
