My 5 year old grandson loves turtles, frogs, snakes, whatever. I took him to the Bass-Pro shop in Springfield, Mo this past weekend. Bass Pro shop had some live turtles and next door in a natural history type museum they had a giant alligator snapping turtle with a head as big around as my leg. My grandson was blown away.

Yeah, I'm not without sense when i help something out. I live in a pretty rural area, so my risk of getting hit by a car is minimal, even with the high nascar fan/redneck % here.
The snapper was just a baby as well. I'm pretty experienced with handling animals, as I've even captured by hand a few rattlesnakes, back when I was a bit more wreckless.
Cats though? Now those are critters you gotta be careful with!
Cows too. I was almost murdered once by a stampeding herd while fishing the Owens river in the Sierra Nevada mountain range. That was one of the most surreal and unnerving experiences of my entire life!
