More a maatter of having conviction in what you see and think than anything else. Short run, you can be wrong about a horse like LR. But, really, what does it matter if you're wrong about a 4/5 shot? In the long run, your convictions are good and your results hold up. That's all that matters. As a fan, sure the big G1's are important but as a bettor, they are pretty insignificant imo. We all get tunnel vision. With me, it tends not to be having a bad opinion on a G1 or other stakes horse but rather it tends to be that I convince myself of seeing things on replays that just aren't there (or are not as significant as I think), resulting in bad playbacks. But I wouldn't trade my approach of looking for solid plays on mid-class horses for any other approach. I just wish these hallucinations I've been having for the past month would stop.
