This really is no surprise. Manley was more looking to fill a CEO-type of role, perhaps that of a much larger organization. The Guild not only lacked the finances, but also the infrastructure and model needed to operate on this type of level. Manley was more suited to be the CEO of a more mature organization. On another note -- how much did we see of Jesse Jackson?

The Guild, although having been around for a long time, is still in it's infancy as far as life-cycle. It hasn't progressed in the last 5 years, it's regressed; and as such needs to regroup in order to grow, develop and mature as an organization.

The model and mindset has failed and failed miserably since Dr. G was brought in. I hate making people out to be wrong, however in this case it's difficult not to -- wrong attitude, wrong approach, wrong efforts, basically, everything wrong.

I think there are several candidates who are more than qualifed for the job and can do what needs to be done. The ideal candidate is someone who will take on an entirely different mindset and work WITH the other groups within the industry.
