It's still significantly less than you will pay at Churchill or Pimlico. It is a hike, I agree, but it's only one day and the rest of the days are pretty cheap, compared to other activities. I mean, we live in a day where movies are $10, gas is $3 a gallon. I'll be at the Jets game Sunday, my ticket was $85. I don't mind paying for a good time and I have NEVER had a bad time at the track. Even the day I had my friend pull over on the way up, so I could throw up, because I was so hungover.

OKay, but that is us. We are sitting at our computers debating this. Listening to Steve's show on a daily basis. Waiting for the Green Monkey to finally run. But on a day like Belmont Day, where most of the people there have never heard of the Green Monkey, are they looking at those prices and feeling the same as us?
