I remember there was an India bred and raced horse in one of the Dubai World Cup Turf Races this year. They interviewed the trainer before the race, and he straight up said "that he just wanted the horse to run respectable, and a top-3 finish would be a bonus". I'm not sure if it's the same horse, or if it's a different one. But when looking at it's stats in the DRF, it did have a turf tomlinson of over 400. I apologize for not remembering the name. All I'm getting at, is maybe it's becoming an up and coming country for horse racing? All you need is some rich people, and import some well-bred horses for breeding purposes, and you have a base.
