I guess you actually have to have some brilliant classic dirt horses before they can be removed... It depends how loosely you use the term with today's group of horses.
Right now Cushion track is getting a great rep as being "fair". They are considered "fair" in comparison with the more extreme polytrack and also in a large part due to Lava Man. Lava Man continued his dominance... therefore cushion track is fair...
We can't forget that he is a versatile horse with GI wins on dirt and California turf.
We already have the 2008 BC on cushion track, polytrack isn't far behind, particularly if this junk gets installed on any of the major east coast tracks
