Any additional info from our European experts about him?
Linda's Lad was highly thought of as a 3yo. They thought he would be an Epsom Derby horse at one point in time after he won the Lingfield Derby Trial, but in all honesty, that wasn't a very strong race for it's grade.

He did run in the Derby, and on the face of it, finishing 9th of 18 wasn't that bad. The form of the race has since been a massive let down though (could have been the worst ever Derby).

However, Linda's Lad has been most disappointing in just two starts since June '06, which has to be a worry.

I was at Newmarket on his last start and he was most disappointing, he never got into the race.

There is a chance he will bounce back with Lasix, but with many French horses, it could be said that he would probably prefer a softer turf surface.

EDIT: This race is only over 9 furlongs, isn't it? If so, that would also be against him really i would have thought. Others might have too much speed over this sort of distance.
