How many races can you be expected to win when in such a deep jockey colony you never get better than the 6th or 7th best horse in each race you ride. If you put him on some of the rocketships that Johnny V., Garret, Cornelio, and Edgar et al ride every day you would see his statistics improve accordingly. I agree totally. That colony is so so deep. He was probably better off spending his summer at the Jersey shore than up in Saratoga. Then in the fall he could go back to Belmont in the afternoon and ride at the Meadowlands at night.
