Yeah he did, but have you seen the replay? It doesn't look like he can get around the winner. He still ran well, I just don't know if he would have beat the winner. It's hard to say definitively.

The shot behind them going down the stretch showed there wasn't much room to squeeze between horses,
he may not have won...but could have got 2nd.
