Live or TV
Following up on the PGA thread...which sports do you prefer watching on TV vs. live and in person and why?
Here's mine:
College Football- Live because of all the pregame tailgating and traditions. (bands-cheerleaders ect)
Golf- TV because you see more action with multiple cameras showing more players. I find it boring to either sit at one hole or follow one foursome around a course.
Baseball- Live. Nothing like being at a big stadium be it Yankee, Fenway, Wrigley for a big game and the place is rockin!
NFL- I have NY Giants season tickets for 22 years...went to my first game in 16 years Saturday night...now I remember why I don't go live anymore. No good replays, no replays of controversial calls, I'd go again to tailgate and watch game on TV from parking lot rather than go inside.
NHL-Definitely live...anybody that know hockey will share same!
College hoops-Only good in on campus arenas. The big NBA arenas don't play well for college hoops. Your usually too far away from the action.
Horse Racing-Live because TV broadcasts suck and watching them turn for home live is the best!
NASCAR-??? Never been live but TV does a great job with all their hi-tech new graphics and replays. I'd like to pull a motor home near the track of a NASCAR event like I used to do for IRL and Daytona/Can Am types at Watkins Glen.
Olympics-LIVE....feeling of country pride there live either as participant or spectator is unbelievable!
