In the majority, racehorses around the world are treated well 365 days of the year. They are bred to do the job of racing.

The majority of these horses love doing their 'job'.

It's just a sad fact that a tiny percentage of people in this industry let the side down, and it is this tiny percentage that the 'haters' pick up on. There are trainers out there that don't provide the best care, that don't treat their horses with the respect they deserve. Whatever the industry there is always going to be a small number that spoil it, why? Who knows.

It was an interesting point about the drugs. Do you guys really think the horses actually become addicted to these drugs, especially in America where druf usage is high, although legal? I must say, coming from a country where drugs are strctly forbidden in the sport i am against it, but after all of these years it would be almost impossible to change that ruling.
