I'm sure things are great for those that can afford to sit in the fancy seats and be wined and dined to death but how many actually can afford to do that?

My grandstand seats on Sunday were fine as I was able to actually see the races - and that's what I go to the track for. I visited a friend who was sitting in the clubhouse Carousel dining area and he never got up to watch a race. I didn't stay with him long - not my cup of tea not being able to see the actual live races. To each his/her own, though....
I usually go out front to watch the races. I used to sit out there too but having Derby Trail come to life right behind Carolina BBQ is a pretty fun time so I go back there most of the time now. Everyone there does actually care about the races.
