To each his own I suppose. I thought his sire was weird looking too. I blame it all on Unbridled's Song. He was an ugly horse, and he has sired a bunch of ugly (not to mention ridiculously frail) horses.
Getting back to the race though, Ready's Image's Tremont makes that 9/5 ML seem about right. He looked like he was shot out of a cannon in that one, and if he starts like that again, the outside post shouldn't hurt him too much.
