This sort of scam (phishing, I believe) is all the rage right now. People are setting up alternate websites for places like Paypal and Ebay which look exactly like the real site.
Two things:
1.) No business, Ebay, Paypal, Bank, etc, will
EVER ask you to enter that type of personal information on the net. Or at least they shouldn't.
2.) Always make sure that any site is secure when you're using a real site anyway. Https:// should be how it starts instead of http://
