Did you ever try cooking with your car/truck engine?
Wrap some baking potatoes in foil and put them under the hood before you go on a long (2 hour+) trip. If you have room, carrots can be put in there with a pot roast (dry onion soup mix) but be sure to double wrap it and avoid the potholes.

No, but I have barbequed on a small Weber in the back of a van going down the interstate. Back door open a bit, front windows down. Worked great.
