Sure it did.
You must not have seen him coach. He was the worst NBA coach I ever saw.
To be honest, he got lucky and won one game in his life that counted which was when U-D beat Marquette on the road in 1977, the year Marquette won the NCAA.
He was an utter failure in the NBA.
