Thanks Kasept. Kelso I did not know. I did catch on the Thistledown news today that Delightful Kris's trainer (Pete Anderson) had ridden
Forego.
The story today was that just before the 1964 Ohio Derby, the eventual winner's owner.....Eddie DeBartolo....told Pete Anderson he had made a wager on the horse to win.
Turns out it was $10,000 in 1964 dollars.
Eddie DeBartolo was the SOB who bought and closed my childhood track,
Ascot Park . That's why it's always been easy for me to hate the San Francisco 49er's!
