Wonder how much of that is attributable to another factor such as surface/equip change that accompanies 1st Lasix start.

My trainer discussed with me one day when I questioned the amount (cc's) of lasix the horse was administered. We NEVER know was the original dose ENOUGH or TOO MUCH. We had a horse who the race vet gave too much on the race day injection and almost put the horse to sleep...and he ran like it!
He misread the dosage instructions
2nd lasix could be more or less...inside info we never get from the form. The goal of the trainer/vet is to find the best amount to stop bleeding, but not impair performance.
