Default RIP Three Degrees

Stronach Stables' odds-on choice Citronnade earned her fourth successive stakes win and her first grade I score with a front-running victory in the $367,800 Gamely Breeders' Cup (VIDEO) for fillies and mares on the Hollywood Park turf during Monday's Memorial Day program.

Trainer Bobby Frankel conditions Cittronade, as well as the runner-up, Price Tag, whose belated rally came up three quarters of a length short in the 1 1/8-mile event, completed in a good time of 1:45 3/5. The race took a sad turn when the grade II winner Three Degrees injured her left foreleg at the wire and was euthanized on the track.
