They were both really awesome 2-year-olds. I guess Flame Thrower was the more precocious of the two---and certainly seemed to have more heart of the two.
However--Street Cry got a dream setup in the Del Mar Futurity...as FT was out there battling with three wickedly fast horses. He really shouldn't have lost that one.
They were certainly two very different kind of horses. Flame Thrower was actually just a $27K September yearling, and resold for $270K just about a half a year later at OBS April....after working the outright fastest 1/4 mile.
Street Cry was bred in Ireland---and his mother won the Group one Irish Oaks in Europe as a 3-year-old.
