Pretty much all of it. First of all, being out three months at this point means even if things went perfectly it almost impossible he would be racing before mid October. However, while I'm not a trainer or vet, from what I've seen over the past thirty plus years it's beyond rare that horses return to form from tendon injuries, especially rapidly.
He's a very nice horse, and I like Tagg, so I wish him well. But, it's hard not to be pessimistic.
