Pletcher = ARod
How many homeruns did ARod have going into the series with the Red Sox? I believe it was 14. Everyone was saying ARod was the ABomb, the Second Coming, blah, blah, blah. And that he was on his way to having the greatest April in all time. I believe, though, he fell short to Pujols.
On to Pletcher. He has a bang up Oaks day with a filly, Rags to Riches, that is clearly at the top of the 3yo female division....so good that there are even rumors floated she should run in the Belmont.
Pletcher on Derby day bats 0 for 5.
ARod exits the series with the Sox with still 14 HR. He basically didn't do ****, just like Todd P.on Derby Day.
