I know, I know...but I was at the 2004 BC and the Coolmore Danzig colt shouldv'e won but he was Spencerized in the stretch...actually I think the horse was just a rogue.....Also, anybody who knows the Lone Star course knows that it is the exact opposite from European courses....I've walked it before and it is like a putting green.....I wouldn't count that year for a true result....
As for Artie, I bet him last year because he loves BEL and looked to break through off of some tough-luck races, AND most importantly, there was a poor contingent of Euros unlike most years.....If the Euros bring their first string or even good second string they will win the Mile nine eight out of ten years IMO....Something will come over that is more formidable than Gorella IMO....
