July 4th is the only holiday that racetracks always want to be open continuously that "floats". Only in years where July 4th falls on a Tuesday do we get treated to a 7 day continuous run of racing from the major tracks. Hope everyone enjoyed it because the next time July 4th falls on a Tuesday is 2017. So basically its going to be another 11 years before we get 7 straight days of racing at major tracks.
Bull****!

Grueling, yes. Been working like a freaking fool. Trying to get a place ready to sell and still remodeling a bathroom. Been chiseling old tile set in cement off for three days and I'm sure my back is ruined but I can't tell because my knees are throbbing so bad I can't feel anything else. I'm eating Ibuprfen 800's like they're M&Ms.

Fun? Hell no. Wife has to work today. Works as a financial analyst for a big German firm and their fiscal year closed 6/30. Ordinalrily, it's great to have her working, but she's been (rightfully) complaining about it for about a week. Also, the dog has some freaking glandular problem. And not the ones below the ears. Every time I turn around, he's scooting around the house or scraping himself against anything that doesn't move.

Then again, there's always much to be thankful for. Happy 4th to all!
