The Danzig colt, who has been working at Keeneland the last two weeks, arrived at Churchill Downs at noon on Sunday, and is scheduled to debut over the track here Monday morning.
Trainer Larry Jones, who was aboard when Hard Spun galloped a mile and a half over the Polytrack at Keeneland Sunday morning, said the colt will go out to the track at Churchill right after the renovation break (8:30 a.m.) Monday and breeze five-eighths of a mile with jockey Mario Pino in the irons.
“He loved the Churchill track the last time he worked there (five furlongs in a bullet 1:01.20 on April 12), and he’s been doing well at Keeneland,” Jones said.
Hard Spun, owned by Fox Hill Farms, has not raced since winning the Lanes End Stakes (GII) at Turfway Park on March 24.
