The Keeneland surface has been blazing.
Both a Yankee Gentleman colt and a Lemon Drop Kid filly worked 2/8s in 20 1/5 at the first preview of the two-year-olds in training sale on Monday. That is a new world record in itself. Think about what one of the top sprinters in the country could have done!

A Mineshaft filly worked 1/8 in 9 3/5. While it is not uncommon for an extremely fast two year old to occassionally run a 9 3/5 or 9 4/5 for the 1/8 (For example, the Red Bullet Colt that everyone was raving about that sold for a million or two million+-I can't remember how much money off the top of my head-went 9 3/5 at the Barretts May last year.), as many as 10+ two year olds have ran 9 4/5 for the 1/8 at the first preview of the Keeneland sale.
