that was over 20 years ago that i took that oath, but yes pat, we swore to uphold the constitution.
i still don't understand why some get so up in arms about things like this--it's part of our freedom of speech. the constitution doesn't just apply to those you agree with, that document was written for everyone, not just the majority. too many forget that. the majority does NOT rule, the constitution does--or is supposed to. it's there to protect the rights of the often voiceless, or drowned out, or shouted down minority. everyone is supposed to have the same rights, whether popular or not.
