Ah, there's nothing like the righteous anger of the empowered. Please, conservatives convinced they are constantly under attack, post an example of a scandal where, if the offender was in fact, a conservative, his or her conservative leaning became the focus of the media response to the attack. Imus, I think, can truly be called an independent, since he doesn't hew to either party line. Which leaves him with no one to hide behind. Conservatives feel he betrayed the cause when he came out against the Iraq war and liberals haven't forgiven him for things he said years ago. He's a man without a party. And without a new hairstyle since Reagan was in office.
And the "Daily Show"'s segment on the media orgy over this whole flap was hilarious. Cannon, you would have loved it. Catch it in rerun if you can.
