Maybe the father, in an act of desperation, will pull out a gun and shoot me in the face while i'm in line to make a wager. Oh oh...maybe the kid will go on to win American Idol someday and thank me for influencing his dad to stop gambling. Or, or maybe I'll just mind my own business because I dislike when people are all up in my business and let that poor family be.
