Fun post, Seconditis. When my girlfriend and I first met she really had no love for horse racing. She basically understood my enjoyment for the game and tolerated my gaming . However, over the two years, she has taken to it as well.

When we go to the track we have daily double contests, see who can hit for more on rolling daily doubles, and we cap the bet at $10 per double. The double is much less daunting for a novice like her, as opposed to a tri, super or pick 4. Living in New England, we enjoy trips to NYC on occassion and when we do, we head out to Belmont to play and last summer we spent a whole week at Saratoga and went to all five of the six races days (one was a rainy one, so there were so "indoor" activities at the hotel ) We also ate at Byk's BBQ, before I knew the legend of Bykster!

Dont know if my girl is as keen as yours, when it comes to the PP's she can pick out a closer and a speed horse, but after that, it's a tossup. She also cant understand the conditions

We have fun though, and thats all that matters really.
