The horse throws in one clunker and we all need to find some excuse. There might be a valid or there might not be one. Either case, he has proven to be a top quality race horse.

Now Lava Man is a different story because you have a pattern of not being able to ship. The answer as to why he runs bad in races outside of Cali is because he doesnt ship well. That is his excuse. The sooner his owners realize this the better off the racing world will be.

I don't think people are directly blaming the horse.. But there does seem to be a consistent pattern of excuses that emerge after supposed star horses run up the track in a big race.
