Dettori heads for Jebel Ali

.
FRANKIE DETTORI makes a rare visit to Jebel Ali on Friday and has three rides on a six-race card (five thoroughbred), highlighted by the Listed Jebel Ali Sprint.
Dettori, last seen locally when working Discreet Cat last Saturday, does not have a mount in that race but partners Satish Seemar's Buscape in a seven-furlong handicap that is the track's last race of the season.
He also partners Adi Selvaratnam's pair of Rise View in the maiden and Sama Dubai in another seven-furlong handicap.
Sixteen go to post in the featured sprint with 2002 winner Conroy and 2005 victor Magic Master among them.
The winner will be hoping for a last-minute invite to the Golden Shaheen on World Cup night and both South Africa and Brazil are doubly represented to give the five-furlong race an international flavour.
Mike de Kock's Key Of Destiny was third in this race last year, while compatriot Herman Brown saddles Protector who was a winner on the Nad Al Sheba turf earlier this year. He beat Satish Seemar's Khabfair on that occasion, but Ted Durcan elects to ride that horse over Magic Master and Doctor Hilary.
An all-weather winner in Britain, Khabfair has to be respected and Durcan reports he worked well on this unique dirt surface last week.
Brazil is represented by Big Spartan and New Freedom with the latter appearing the first string on jockey bookings - Kerrin McEvoy has the spare on his stablemate.
Erwan Charpy has solid chances with Botanical and Mukafeh, the choice of Richard Hills, which leavesMartin Dwyer to partner Taqseem.
He is one of four in the race for Musabah Al Muhairi and, like stable companions, Instant Recall and Visionist, cannot be ruled out in a wide open contest.
