Right, that being counted as his one Grade 1 win over older horses. The Clark was then a Grade 2 race. But I'll give him that one, so it brings him to 2.
I'm not trying to disparage Silver Charm, as he was the first near of the string of near misses I witnessed at Belmont. He's a very good horse. I just happen to think that Manila's resume is a bit more impressive. But I can certainly understand why those who think Silver Charm deserves the nod, and he probably will get in before a horse like Manila.
