A couple of other spot plays for Thursday:
In the third race, as much as I do not like Walter Llagas, I do like the 4, Frisky Ellie Plays (6-1). This filly ran an even race after a bad break at 6f. Stretches out to two turns today and gets Lasix where trainer Sam Cronk is 21% second out, 33% first Lasix and 22% sprint to route.
In the fourth race, the price will not be right here, but the 8, Canopy (6-5) is as close to a lock as you can get. She ran second off a short layoff to Si Si Mon Amie who came back and ran a very credible second in an N1X. The third place finisher Susprito won a 50k claimer in her next start. The sixth place finisher from her last race, Celestial Art, shipped to Oaklawn and bombed a 10k Mdn Claimer by 6 lengths. Not a whole lot to beat in here. Oh yeah, you get Mott/Centeno to boot. 6/5 M/L is not enticing, but multiple Pick 3 plays with the above horse in the third race (2nd-3rd-4th) may be the way to go.
In the tenth race, I love the 5, Golden Indy (10-1). Golden Missile gelding has shown increased stamina in each of his three starts. Today is the day under Federico Mata.
