I remember being at Monmouth a month or two after Barbaro was injured; he had the favorite in a stakes race on the turf and he got 10-20 yards out of the gate and pulled the horse up.( was a Dynaformer too !) I'd definitely consider that a positive. If something seems wrong with the horse he more than likely isn't going to hit the board anyways even if it doesn't turn out to be an injury. Why destroy the horse trying to get him up for 6th when you can tell he's not right? (That's rhetorical, I didn't think you were saying he should do that)
