To me the margin of victory wasnt very indicative to how the two horses ran. Proud Tower Too rarely passes horses, if ever. I dont think going wide cost PTT the race as much as the simple fact of not having the lead. Both horses are very similar in ability, only difference to me is one can win with or without the lead (Latent Heat) and one is a one dimensional need the lead to win horse.

On his best day, I think Latent Heat is a better horse. That doesn't mean that the ride by Cohen didn't cost PTT the race b/c I think it did.
