Wayne...that is precisely why I stated my thread in that manner. It was NOT meant as an implication towards you at all.
I still think we live in the greatest country in the world. I believe over time though, that our priorities in this country have become incredibly skewed and gotten way off kilter. Both major political parties are a complete and utter mess...no other way around it. I voted for W...both times. Am I 100% satisfied with the job he is doing? NO. I didn't vote for Clinton, but was appreciative a some of the things he did. Wasn't 100% satisfied with him either. But in reality, only a mindless individual is ever 100% happy with the job their chosen politician does.
Fact of the matter is, being POTUS is a job I would never want. It is a job that I have the utmost respect for though, NO MATTER WHO IS IN OFFICE. I highly doubt that anyone on this board is close enough, politically, to really comprehend the daily tasks and decision making involved being in the White House and being President of the most powerful nation in the world.
I count my vote as my voice being heard. I find it would be useless for me to constantly label politicians that I don't like as liars. I think there are better and more prosperous ways to make a difference if one really wanted to. If lying was punishable by law, I think every president since George Washington would have served time.
Wayne, as I have stated previously to you, your passion is admirable. If you really believe in everything that you post on here (your own words and your links) then I would think with the proper resources, you could channel that energy and maybe make a difference, even if it may just be on a smaller, more local level. It would be a start for you.
I simply think your bashing and labeling of the current administration seems unproductive, unless away from this board you are doing your part to really make a difference (and you very may well be doing that.) That really goes for anyone, myself included. If I have the energy to bitch about it...dammit I better have the energy to DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
I like you Wayne. We may be at different ends of the spectrum on some things, but your a good man and I think your heart is in the right place.
