Its funny you should say that. When the Bears returned the opening kick-off I had a sinking feeling, thinking that it would be their undoing. It kinda takes you out of your game mood, maybe makes you over confident, etc. When you really want a kick returned for a TD is in the second half when you need something to turn things around for you, to get a boost, to put the game out of reach, etc. When It happens on the opening kick-off its like it just serves to focus the opposition right from the get go.
It just seems like I have noticed that an early score like that more often than not turns out to be in a losing effort.
Just an observation, not an excuse. The way the Bears played defense they weren't going to win anyway.
