well believe it or not it's kind of a wide open state so your gonna have to clarify what part of the state your headed to.
Mountaineer is in the upper pan-handle near Pitt. i believe.
Wheeling Downs: home of the $3 perfecta (dog track) is upstate as well also near Pitt.
Cross Lanes (dog track) is in Charleston, WV: 40 miles or so from the WV-KY-OH border
Charles Town is in Ranson, WV about 60 miles outside of Washington DC
No OTB's that i know of
This table game thing has been long proposed thing, around 2-3 years ago when i was at school (Marshall University, about 10 miles from the KY border and 2 miles from the OH border) they wanted to put a casino in downtown Huntington near the Marshall campus, it got shot down. If any state needs the revenue it's WV. I believe it's one of the poorest states in the US next to Mississippii, believe it or not who has all kinds of casinos. Closest casino is about 10 miles past L'Ville in Indiana (which is around 220 miles from Huntington), Ceasars on the Ohio River. Indiana also has another casino some where further north. Personally, i wouldn't want see the state get the table license, but they could use the money. Like i said this was a proposed issue a couple years ago, why it would get passed now with how well the slots are already doing is beyond me
